Sam Mitchell, CEO, Housesimple.com, comments: “With the average UK house price just over £225,000, it doesn’t seem possible that you can still buy a property for pre-1980 prices. Although, even at these scarcely believable prices, most buyers probably won’t be tempted to take a punt. Saying that, if you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty, and purchase something that needs a full refurbishment, you could find yourself a bargain with huge potential.”
